  <link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:400,700,800" rel="stylesheet">
  <link href="./styles.css" rel="stylesheet">

  <div class="label">
      <h1 class="bold">Nutrition Facts</h1>
      <div class="divider"></div>
      <p>8 servings per container</p>
      <p class="bold">Serving size <span>2/3 cup (55g)</span></p>
    <div class="divider large"></div>
    <div class="calories-info">
      <div class="left-container">

        <h2 class="bold small-text">Amount per serving</h2>

Below the .left-container means below the closing tag of this html element.

Also below the .left-container element, create a new span element with the text 230 .

Note: element comprises of both opening and closing tags.

Responding to your code; You span element should come after your closing </div> tag
