Challenge: Learn Typography by Building a Nutrition Label - Step 43

Link to the challenge:

Ya, the hint you are getting is not accurate and thus throwing you off. Your problem is with the last step of the instructions:

“Finally, nest the Total Fat span element and the text 8g in an additional span element for alignment.”

Once you fix this then it will pass.

Hint: To fix this you only need to make one change. You need to move an opening <span> tag to the correct place so that both the Total Fat span element and the text 8g are wrapped in one span.

still no progress, i’ve been stucked here for a very long time

You’ll need to show us what you tried by pasting your HTML in here.

To display your code in here you need to wrap it in triple back ticks. On a line by itself type three back ticks. Then on the first line below the three back ticks paste in your code. Then below your code on a new line type three more back ticks. The back tick on my keyboard is in the upper left just above the Tab key and below the Esc key. You may also be able to use Ctrl+e to automatically give you the triple back ticks while you are typing in the this editor and the cursor is on a line by itself. Alternatively, with the cursor on a line by itself, you can use the </> button above the editor to add the triple back ticks.

    <div class="divider large"></div>
    <div class="calories-info">

    </div>
    <div class="divider medium"></div>
    <div class="daily-value small-text">
      <p class="bold right">% Daily Value *</p>

      <div class="divider"></div>

       <p>
         <span class="bold">Total Fat </span>8g</span></span>
         <span class="bold">10%</span>
      </p>

    </div>

  </div>
</body>
</html>`

You now have two opening <span> tags and four closing </span> tags. This is invalid HTML. The number of opening and closing span tags needs to be the same.

Read the last instruction closely:

“nest the Total Fat span element and the text 8g in an additional span element”

To nest something means to put it inside of something. So the instructions are asking you to put both the Total Fat span (which includes the opening/closing span tags and the text Total Fat) and the text 8g inside of a single span element. Until you do this properly you won’t pass.
