Hi there… So first things first let’s read the instructions:
1. Change your external link to an internal link by changing the href attribute to “#footer” and the text from “cat photos” to “Jump to Bottom”.

2. Remove the target="_blank" attribute from the anchor tag since this causes the linked document to open in a new window tab.

3. Then add an id attribute with a value of “footer” to the <footer> element at the bottom of the page.

It seems like you tried to insert an anchor tag inside of the original anchor tag… undo that.

Then: To solve #1 and #2, you need to modify the anchor tag. Change the external address for “#footer”, change the text too, remove the target part.

Finally, go to the bottom of the page, and add an id to the footer tag.

Good luck! Let us know if you need more help

you have deleted the existing footer tag…

restore the code, then you just need to add id like any other attribute in the tag, as attribute="value", where this case the attribute name is id

i still can’t get the “footer”.I wrote it like this( <id=“footer” copyright cat photo app
could you please help me write it?

<tagName tagAttribute="attributeValue">

what are you missing if you write <id="footer">?

the last objective " The footer tag should have an id attribute set to “footer”."
its objective unmark

I meant of the scheme above, not of the tests

of this scheme here:

<tagName tagAttribute="attributeValue">

so close… almost there… if you pay attention to what @ieahleen said you will complete the challenge.

hint: the tag is footer, the rest you already have
