There isn’t really a way to ease in to this. The local vs. global is the introduction point to the concept of scope. You have to start somewhere.
People connect ideas differently, so that’s really going to vary. Would the majority of people find it more intuitive in that order? Maybe. I have no idea. You can create a GitHub issue suggesting that the order be switched and see if the majority of contributors who look at it agree. I’m not trying to dismiss your opinion when I say this, but I do want you to be prepared to occasionally find yourself going back to earlier lessons because only after understanding another piece does it really click into place. It may feel frustrating at times, but it’s really a good sign that you are making connections and getting a better understanding of concepts as you learn more about how they relate to the whole.
