Match Characters that Occur Zero or More Times-gt

Tell us what’s happening:
Can someone explain why we get null in the oPhrase match. It does contain “o” which is mentioned in our regex. So when we use “*” it needs to match both characters to give us a match , it can’t match just either 1 of the two characters?

Your code so far

let soccerWord = "gooooooooal!";
let gPhrase = "gut feeling";
let oPhrase = "over the moon";
let goRegex = /go*/;
soccerWord.match(goRegex); // Returns ["goooooooo"]
gPhrase.match(goRegex); // Returns ["g"]
oPhrase.match(goRegex); // Returns null
