I’m trying to figure out why my “Portfolio” menu button is showing the text as a different color from the rest. When I inspect the element using the Google Chrome dev tools, I get this:
a { color: rgb(51, 122, 183); text-decoration: none; },
but this is not in my CSS style sheet. Here is the link to my page: https://codepen.io/IDCoder/pen/OWbXLw

That’s a default bootstrap style for a-tags. If you inspect your portfolio a-tag with chrome dev-tools , you will find the stylesheet that that particular rule comes from. In this case, it says ‘bootstrap . css:1100’. If you click on that link, you’ll go to line 1100 of the bootstrap style sheet, where the color and text-decoration for a -tags is defined.

The default bootstrap version is used, because you didn’t specify a color in your own css for a-tags. You did, however specify a color of white as part of your myButton class. Because you added that class to the a-tags for your about and connect buttons, but not directly to the a-tag for your portfolio button, only the first two are white.
