Meta just released Pocket, an app that lets users build mini-games and interactive experiences using AI with little to no coding, basically “vibe-coding” for quick prototyping of games and social experiences.
According to Meta, they are positioning the app as a TikTok-style app for games, you will be able to scroll through feeds and interact with content created by other users
Earlier this year Meta acquired vibe-coding platform Gizmo, and Pocket is their version.
Both products are listed in the Google Store.
I think it’s going to be used mostly by kids to create AI slop games.
Do people actually enjoy this? Spend 10$ on fallout new vegas and you will have a rich experience lol

Yes - I think this is the same thinking behind OpenAI’s (now discontinued) Sora platform: by unleashing a ton of laypeople you’ll get some diamonds along with the rough.
But I think in practice you may not get anything worth people’s time.
Even in terms of free mobile games there are probably way better ones than the games likely to be created through this platform. Just like there is way better free video on YouTube than even the best Sora videos.

Old video games that are cheap now (because video games are like cars- pieces of art that depreciate) are way more richer experiences than making your own ai video game. YOU WILL BE WAY MORE inspired by a video game like Persona 4 than strawberries who can dance. It’s not worth ANYONE’S time. The terrible video games like Fears to Fathom have way more to offer experience wise than ai games like this. That’s VERY telling.
