Great job.
It looks good for a first project. Try adding some padding to the text.

Edit:
Its a good start but I think you could do more to make it better.

  1. First I think the image should be centered or made to take up the space to the right.

  2. Also when its viewed on smaller screens the elements gets out of order. Work on it and make it more responsive.
