My first Portfolio page for FCC Please give some feedback

Hello Everyone, it took me a bit of time and I am still not sure if I did a decent job whit my first Portfolio Page Project.

I will be more then happy if some one want suggest something or just a feedback.

Portfolio Page (codepen.io)

Thank you.

Hello,

You did a great job building this! For a beginner this is’t bad at all.

Thinks you could change (in my opninion):

  • Choose a more mordern font.
  • The section See My Project and then the About me and al the projects section put it a little different. It looks weird as it is on the right side.
  • In my opninion it looks a little dark, maybe use other colors?

Thanks for sharing and furtermore, good luck with your coding Journey!

Kind regards,

Yoran Essers

It is good keep improving dear.

Good job, @LeleGanza, it’s amazing portfolio page for beginners. But I recommend you, you can use some frontend frameworks rather than make it by yourself. there are plenty of frontend designs in the internet. first, you can implement it by your own, then change it with your information.
Hope it helps.
Best wishes.

Your portfolio looks okay @LeleGanza. Some things to revisit;

  • Codepen provides the boilerplate for you. It only expects the code you’d put within the body element in HTML. (No need to include the body tags). For anything you want to add to the <head> element click on the ‘Settings’ button, then HTML and add it into the ‘Stuff for <head>’ box.
    • The link to the font goes in the box labeled ‘Stuff for <head>’
  • Run your HTML code through the W3C validator.
    • There are HTML coding errors you should be aware of and address.
      • navbar is not a valid HTML element
    • Since copy/paste from codepen you can ignore the first warning and first two errors.
  • Make your page responsive. Remember, the R in RWD stands for Responsive
    • There’s a horizontal scrollbar on large and small screens

On a side note;

  • Search has a meaning. If you’re going to utilize Search in your nav it should be for a search. Not a link to your projects. Name the links so they’re not misleading.
  • imgur does not play well with FCC. Sometimes images don’t display. You can search for free image hosting sites.
