My href is not being recognized by the program. Why is that?

I have done this code before since it’s my second time with an account here. I’m still a beginner, so I might be doing something wrong. Please help me understand what it is and how to fix this, even if it’s a system recognition problem.

My code so far:

<h2>CatPhotoApp</h2>
<main>

<a> href="http://freecatphotoapp.com">cat photos</a>

<img src="https://bit.ly/fcc-relaxing-cat" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back.">

<p>Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed everywhere shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>
<p>Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.</p>
</main>

Challenge: Link to External Pages with Anchor Elements

Link to the challenge:

Anchor tag has an extra “>”

that line should actually read as:

<a href="http://freecatphotoapp.com">cat photos</a>

Maybe you already figured out why, but if you need further or detailed explanation don´t hesitate to ask for it.

cheers!

You need to write the href attribute inside your anchor attribute because href is an anchor attribute
