My /./ is not being accepted

I am adding a class to css and for some reason my /. / is not being accepted.
I had similar issue in an earlier step and just rewriting it worked. I have tried that and restarting everything to include my computer, also my “ad blocker” is turned off.

The code looks correct in the forum viewer but when in the editor it is not accepting /.container/

  **Your code so far**
/* file: index.html */
<!DOCTYPE html>
  <meta charset="utf-8">
  <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">
  <title>Colored Markers</title>
  <link rel="stylesheet" href="styles.css">
  <h1>CSS Color Markers</h1>
  <div class="container">
    <div class="marker one">
    <div class="marker two">
    <div class="marker three">
/* file: styles.css */
h1 {
text-align: center;

.container {
  background-color:rgb(0, 0, 0);

.marker {
width: 200px;
height: 25px;
margin: 10px auto;

.one {
background-color: red;

.two {
background-color: green;

.three {
background-color: blue;
