A couple of weeks ago, I published my portfolio online, and it’s all coded by me! The link is here: [https://cinziamagnani.com/
I would like to hear from you if you have any thoughts and suggestions about how to make it better, smoother, cleaner or just literally anything! Feedback is most appreciated.
The scope of my portfolio is to use it to start applying for internships in the visual design or development fields.
Wow, I thought the sound was affected by moving the cursor to the people Your works are awesome also the page looks clean, nice, and responsive. One thing to be re-visit might be the scrollbars on the aside elements. I would find a way to hide them. Other than that perfecto patronum
I’m not sure what type of feedback you want here so I’ll just point out one of the first things I noticed. A lot of the text is very hard to read at the default font size. Technically the gray you are using does have enough contrast with the background but the font style you are using and the default size you have it set at is making it almost impossible for me to read. I have to manually crank the text size up to 150% before I can read it comfortably.
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m no artist and thus should be the last person criticizing color choices. But I’m pretty sure I’m not going to be the only one who finds this hard to read. And it seems to me that if a potential client has this same issue then they are not going to have a lot of confidence in your visual design capabilities.
As for the page itself, there are some issues with responsiveness, accessibility. If this is a professional website then you probably want to get those fixed.
Hi! Thank you for your feedback! This is the first website I design/develop so I’m open to any kind of feedback.
Thank you for your suggestions, I’ll try and experiment with those a bit
Hi! Thank you for your feedback!
This is the first website I designed and developed so it’s actually very useful to know any issues, both from a design and development point of view.
The font size/style issue is new to me, but I’m definitely going to look more into it as it of course affects the quality of the website.
You also mentioned issues with responsiveness and accessibility. Can you give me more information about these? I want to try and make a professional site as possible, and, being new to this world, some advice wouldn’t hurt
I don’t have time to do a full evaluation, but here are two things to get you started:
I am getting a horizontal scroll bar even at very wide view port widths.
You’ve got links in your content that do not appear as links so I have no idea that I can click on them (e.g. “Auto Magic” in the second paragraph of the About content on the right side).
