since you are already using bootstrap you should probably take advantage of its grid feature and set col-- values to manage the layout.

Most of the site is managed using Bootstrap’s grid system, but the placement of this particular photo was easiest with flexbox. I don’t mind if the responsive design tools cock up, but i’ll be changing the layout once I know what I want to fill the rest of the space.
