Navbar issues on scrolling

I’m building a nav bar using plain CSS. On scrolling, the text below covers the navbar . How do I fix this? I can change nav bar background color but that doesnt seem an effective solution. Please help.

I put this into Google and see lots of possible solutions to this. Did you try any of them?

As an aside, if you don’t link to your codepen or show your code people can only guess as to what the issue might be.
