Necessary to Manually Set Width w/ Safari When Displaying Alt Text?

Just want to note that when using Safari, if the width of the image cannot contain the alt text, then the width needs to be manually adjusted before it will appear.

Is there an alternative to manually specifying a width here when using Safari?

The nice thing about the img tag is it has a width attribute: https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_img.asp

I am not sure if you are looking for a more sophisticated approach?
