Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some honest advice from people who are already working as web developers.
I’m 30 years old, working full-time as a technician, and I also have family responsibilities. Because of that, I have limited time to study.
I’m currently enrolled in an online Diploma in Information Technology, but I also enjoy learning web development through freeCodeCamp. My goal is to become a web developer as soon as possible.
The problem is that it’s difficult to balance full-time work, family, my diploma, and freeCodeCamp at the same time.
If you were in my situation, what would you do?
- Continue the Diploma while slowly progressing through freeCodeCamp?
- Pause or reduce the Diploma and focus more on building web development skills and a portfolio with freeCodeCamp?
- Or keep doing both, even if progress is slower?
I’d really appreciate advice from developers who have been in a similar situation or who are involved in hiring.
Thank you!
