Need help on image resize

i need help resizing the cat image to 100px

Please post a link to the challenge you are working on and your full code. That helps us help you. Thank you!

And your code?

When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

You can also use the “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) to add backticks around text.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard.
Note: Backticks (`) are not single quotes (’).

Yeah but i reset it when it did not work

Please put your code in a forum post. We can’t help you fix your code unless you show us what you’ve written!

<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
<style>
  .red-text {
    color: red;
  }

  h2 {
    font-family: Lobster, monospace;
  }

  p {
    font-size: 16px;
    font-family: monospace;
  }
</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>
<main>
  <p class="red-text">Click here to view more <a href="#">cat photos</a>.</p>

img class:"smaller-image"<a href="#"><img src="https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/relaxing-cat.jpg" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back."></a>

Three main issues:

  1. You haven’t defined the smaller-image class in the CSS <style> definitions.

  2. You did not correctly add the smaller-image class to this img element.

  1. You seem to have deleted a large portion of the code for this challenge. That confuses the tests.
<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
<style>
  .smaller-image {
    width: 100px
  }
  .red-text {
    color: red;
  }

  h2 {
    font-family: Lobster, monospace;
  }

  p {
    font-size: 16px;
    font-family: monospace;
  }
</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>

  <p class="red-text">Click here to view more <a href="#">cat photos</a>.</p>

    <input type="text" placeholder="cat photo URL" required>
    <button type="submit">Submit</button>
  </form>
</main>

The error message says

Your img element should have the class smaller-image.

I don’t see here where you included the smaller-image on the img element?

Side note, it always feels weird when I’m the one doing all the talking and the other person is just throwing code at me like I’m an organic compiler.

I’ve added the img class but it isn’t still working

  p {

  }
</style>

Hmm, that looks a bit different than how the red-text class was added to the p element.
