I’am trying to understand where this number came from but I really don’t get it
golfScore(4, 1)
the number 4 where you get it from?
Please include a link to the challenge.
Welcome to the FCC Forum where people help each other.
If you look at the tests below the instructions before starting the Golf Challenge, you will see that both 4 and 5 are par courses. When we complete the challenge it is necessary to take this into consideration.
I found this challenge very difficult. But got through it.
Hope this answers your question for you.
Happy coding!
Thank you very much for your suggestions. I like to read a lot but I didn’t understand anything about how golf is played, but I did a little research and I think I understood the reason for the 4’s and 5’s and that depends on the number of holes and the size of the golf course, where you are going to play, so I want to share the link to a page that helped me understand why this is.
Note that the challenge doesn’t exactly use the true rules of Golf. Its best to follow the rules shown on the challenge page.
Hello everyone, my name is Paul I’m new here .
I’am not saying whether or not to use the true rules of golf, I’m just saying that if someone like me doesn’t understand something, you have to search and try to understand the test.
and in this forum we are here to learn, not to show off who knows more. I hope the photo of the golf score card can help somebody.
I’m not sure where the comment about showing off comes in?
I’m warning you that the information from your research won’t quite match what the Challenge is telling you to do, so you have to be careful to pay attention to what the Challenge is telling you.
Yes I understand you but the test lacks information because it is not easy to understand a golf problem or any other where the numbers come from. and I do pay attention to the challenges. when you say that the challenge doesn’t exacltly use the true rules of Golf, maybe you know how to play got it…
I don’t actually know how to play golf or score golf. I just know that the Challenge’s explanation of scoring is different than the actual scoring.
JeremyLT: I want to apologize for the way I responded yesterday, the truth is I didn’t even know why I did it. I’m sorry… and I’ll try to pay more attention to the details.
