Newbie requiring Advice Please

i have using VSCODE to build Firmware for my Creality Ender 5 Pro Printer. Being a total newbie to VSCODE I am struggling.

When I try and Autobuild the firmware i getan error message as follows.

UnknownPlatform: Unknown development platform ‘PackageItem <path=C:\Users\mrush.platformio\platforms\ststm32@12.1.1 metadata=PackageMetadata <type=platform name=ststm32 version=12.1.1 spec={‘owner’: ‘platformio’, ‘id’: 8020, ‘name’: ‘ststm32’, ‘requirements’: None, ‘uri’: None}’

Any suggestions would be appreciated

I have some projects on the nano 33 iot board that no longer work and now fail w…ith "Error: Unknown development platform " I've tried with a completly new project, make a new directory, cd into it and do `pio init`, edit platformio.ini to add: ``` [env:nano_33_iot] platform = atmelsam board = nano_33_iot framework = arduino ``` then `pio run` gives: ``` pio run Processing nano_33_iot (platform: atmelsam; board: nano_33_iot; framework: arduino) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Error: Unknown development platform 'PackageItem <path=C:\Users\tornt\.platformio\platforms\atmelsam metadata=PackageMetaData <type=platform name=atmelsam version=7.1.0 spec={'owner': 'platformio', 'id': 8007, 'name': 'atmelsam', 'requirements': None, 'uri': None}' ``` Any ideas? Is this something related to the v6 release?

PIO Core Call Error: "Error: Unknown development platform 'PackageItem <path=C:\…\Users\\Manuel\\.platformio\\platforms\\ststm32 metadata=PackageMetaData <type=platform name=ststm32 version=10.0.1 spec={'owner': 'platformio', 'id': 8020, 'name': 'ststm32', 'requirements': None, 'url': None}'" I deleted my whole `.platformio` folder, then opened up VSCode again, and I found the STM32 platform installed, I clicked "uninstall", was a success, restarted VSCode and I found this message in a popup. Now I start VSCode and the message doesn't appear, but I just can't uninstall the STM32 platform... it says it succeeds and indeed the `.platformio\platforms\ststm32` dissapears... but just after restarting VSCode, the `ststm32` folder reappears.
