Not changing to blue

Tell us what’s happening:
Hi all,

I’m new to the whole coding experience & have been facing this issue from the last two days. I honestly don’t know what I’m doing wrong here, I’ve followed the information word for word & cannot understand why the color is not changing to blue.

Please help

Challenge: Use CSS Selectors to Style Elements

Link to the challenge:

Hi :slight_smile: you shouldn’t have the<h2> </h2> tags within the style tags.
put the follow in-between the style tags:

<style>
h2 {
color: blue;
}
</style>

Hello,

you have your h2 text (CatPhotoApp) inside your style block, it should be outside.

Sorry if i didn’t explain well, I’m also new to coding :slight_smile: I can try to explain better if you don’t understand.

It is great that you solved the challenge, but instead of posting your full working solution, it is best to stay focused on answering the original poster’s question(s) and help guide them with hints and suggestions to solve their own issues with the challenge.

We are trying to cut back on the number of spoiler solutions found on the forum and instead focus on helping other campers with their questions and definitely not posting full working solutions.

You can post solutions that invite discussion (like asking how the solution works, or asking about certain parts of the solution). But please don’t just post your solution for the sake of sharing it.
If you post a full passing solution to a challenge and have questions about it, please surround it with
and
tags on the line above and below your solution code.

thanks everyone… i figured it out after re-reading the material over & over… much appreciated for the help… thanks
