Not getting past the first lesson on managing npm packages

Tell us what’s happening:
I’m pretty sure i’m following the instructions. Which was to add my name as the author of the project in the package.json file. But it says i haven’t done so.

Challenge: How to Use package.json, the Core of Any Node.js Project or npm Package

Link to the challenge:

Hello there,

Could you post a link to your project? It is a lot easier to debug with all of the code. Also, are you sure you are submitting the correct link, and that your app is running in the background whilst the tests run?

Hey Sky!

Here is the link to my code.

No i’m not sure of either of those. That’s why i asked for help. I have no idea where i’m going wrong as i’ve never used before

Right, well first place to look is; Does the link you post resemble the placeholder on the lesson

Now, does your app say Node listening… in the console, and is there content in the PIP (picture-in-picture) browser:

If yes to all of the above, then your app should pass the tests.

My link doesnt have the .camperbot bit

it’s in this format

But it does say Node listening in the console and there is indeed content in the PIP

It should work with the full page link.

Hey there, sorry for the late reply. Haven’t had electricity for the past 2 days

It still doesn’t work with the full page link

That sucks, sorry to hear that. I would go mental if I didn’t have electricity for two days.

Not sure why it isn’t working for you. When I use the link I posted it passes the test. Can you try opening up the console (F12 go to the Console tab) and submit the link, see if there are any errors and post them or a screenshot.

haha, you get used to it in this country

It weirdly just started passing right now. Thank you for the help

Can anyone help me with this problem as well? To clarify, I also cannot get the test to pass but as far as I can tell, it should be. My app does say “Node Listening”, there is content in the PIP browser, but my link does not resemble the ‘.camperbot’ section. Here is my link:

I’m not really sure what else I can do at this point. TIA!

SOLUTION: You’re supposed to use the url that is located above the PIP when the app is running, not the link located in your browser!
