Challenge: Create a Form Element

Link to the challenge:

You’re almost there.

I am not getting the ‘nesting’ part

You basically have it. “Nested” in this sense beens “surrounded” but. For example:

Here, the p is “nested” in the div. Think or Russian nesting dolls, matryoshka dolls.

And you basically have that:

<form action="">
  <input type="placeholder="text"
</form action>

The input is nested by the form.

The reason your code is not passing is because the input element has been changed. You have:

 <input type="placeholder="text"

but the original was:

<input type="text" placeholder="cat photo URL">

The instructions say:

Nest the existing input element…

Note the word “existing”. But you changed it. Change it back. That should also add in the missing closing angle bracket (>).

After that, you have:

</form action>

You only have one form so you only need one of those. The second one is correct.

When I fix those things, your code passes for me.

But a lot of people get confused on this one - check back if you’re still having trouble.

<`input type="text" placeholder="URL link">`

This is the correct format of a input text. You also got your form action wrong.

<form action="">
    <input type="text" placeholder="URL link">

Form action brings you to the link you assign to after you have answer to the input text.
