Setting a width, especially with
px introduces the possibility that someone may have a smaller screen than the width you set and thus it won’t be responsive for them. Granted, your width is pretty small, but why take that chance? Also, it doesn’t expand as you widen the browser to take advantage of the extra space. I generally try to use
max-width whenever possible (and you can set the width to 100%) so that you take advantage of all the space (up to a given point) but it will also allow the width to narrow as the browser narrows. Also, I would highly recommend you set max width in
rem units so that it expands if someone manually increases the font size.
