Portfolio Project Feedback - movie discovery app

Hi! I’ve been working on a portfolio project and would love to get feedback on it so I can fix stuff up before I start submitting my resume!

It’s an app to help people discover movies they want to watch and save them to a ‘watch later’ list so that the next time you actually have time for a movie, you don’t have to spend hours trawling Netflix. It’s pretty basic right now, so I’d love ideas for how to extend the functionality too!

Looks pretty good and works as intended for me.

Some minor nitpicks:

  • It would be nice to get rid of the horizontal scroll bar, since it doesn’t seem to do anything.
  • It would also be nice to get rid of the vertical scroll bar too on pages like the login page where it’s not useful.
  • Pictures get cut off on mobile like so:

Overall I would say I was pretty impressed :+1:

some suggestions to try out.

  • It will be nice if you can add a search button so that users can easily search particular movies.

  • Change your cursor to pointer when it hovers the hamburger icon (in mobile view);

your design is cool. keep it up.
