But I am looking to flex my muscles and maybe write some code in my free time for productivity and profit sake for the company owners.
Do you think it would be weird to approach the following conversation like: “Hey I got all this free time sometimes and I feel as though I must create something cool. What do you guys want me to create or help with, like applications sake?”
I would not say free time, but I would find a simple problem that you can solve with code at your workplace. I think it’s a great idea!! I definitely would encourage you to do it; you never know what might happen. Just make sure it’s easy to do so that you have a finished product. Good luck!!
