It looks really cool! But when I scroll down, the nav-bar gets blocked by the transparent image:

In this state, the nav-bar links cannot be clicked.

ah yes, well noticed. It gets transparent - I think by playing with the z-index i might fix this

Looks good @Brkln. Some things to revisit;

  • Run your HTML code through the W3C validator.
    • Since copy/paste from codepen you can ignore the first warning and first two errors.
    • There are coding errors you need to address.
