Please Tell us what’s happening in your own words.

Learning to describe problems is hard, but it is an important part of learning how to code.

Also, the more you say, the more we can help!

I’m currently working on building a landing page qualifying project. One of the request is that my #submit should have a type of submit, which I provided however the code will not run in spite of the code being correct. It is the last and only request preventing me from completing the project and moving on to the next level. This is the code I wrote for review

Please post your entire code.

When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

You can also use the “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) to add backticks around text.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard.
Note: Backticks (`) are not single quotes (').

You have multiple things with the id of submit. The id of an element should be unique.

The request was for me to make sure my #submit has a “type” of submit which I provided. It gave me the same error when that was the only line of code with the “type” or id of submit.

Also, we both know that you can’t have a input element with a id of submit without a type of submit .

That’s completely false.

The id attribute values need to be unique.
