Product manager pursuing dev career change - any feedback / advice?

Hey,

I’ve been a Product Manager for just under 3 years now, but it’s not where my true passion lies working in tech - I love building stuff, and want to be writing code full-time.

I think I’m a good dev, capable of being a genuinely great one in the future, but right now people just see me as a product guy and I’m struggling to make any traction on job applications without any formal dev experience.

I’m going to do some voluntary engineering work for a charity over the next few weeks, and I’m open to basically any level of work - intern, junior etc.

I don’t think my CV / portfolio is quite cutting it right now, so does anyone have any feedback / tips on what I can do to improve it?
