Progress Not Updating After Completing “Build Five Programs” and “Build a Student Database: Part 1”

I have completed both “Build Five Programs” and “Build a Student Database: Part 1” in the Relational Databases Certification.

All steps were completed successfully during the tutorials, and the platform did not allow me to proceed unless each step was correct. However, my progress still does not show these two sections as completed in the certification checklist.

I have read related discussions, including this one:

but I haven’t been able to find a solution that fixes the issue in my case.

At this point, it seems like a progress synchronization bug rather than an issue with the tutorial steps themselves.

Any help or guidance on how to get the progress properly marked as completed would be appreciated.

Log on to the freeCodeCamp website.

Then open the last tutorial you completed which is not marked as complete.

Press the Continue button. Reconnect to the database. Press the Continue button again.

I had to restart a tutorial several times before it was marked as complete.

You have two options:

  1. Restart the tutorial, don’t take any breaks until it is complete. Long pauses can cause the database to timeout / disconnect.
  2. The tutorials may not count towards the requirements to sit the exam. As long as you know you completed the tutorial, move on to the next part.
