Pushing code to github

I have a question please
If I push my code html and css to github
And later I cleared those codes leaving the html and css file empty.
Now if I write another code inside the empty html and css will it affect the code I pushed or uploaded on GitHub?.

Hi! The code you have in your repo on GitHub will remain the same until you update it pushing your new code. And the history of your updates will be saved, the version control system (Git) is all about it.
