Question about the projects on HTML & CSS

I’m new on freecodecamp, I already saw the Responsive web design section and I’m ready to start doing the projects that the platform gave me.

But I have a question, do we need to recreate the websites or projects that they use as example or we need to create our own from scratch?

This is important because I don’t know if I need to recreate the example website/project or not

I hope you can help me answering this question
