I’m getting some strange behavior when adding my random quote button. I have tried using an anchor as well but I get the same behavior. Without the button I pass the Layout test and fail all the test that have something to do with getting data. With the button i fail the update the author test, the twitter test, and the layout test. I would appreciate some help in understanding what I’m missing.

It’s due to the fact that you are removing everything when in the loading state in the render function. Tests 9, 10 and layout #1 are running while your render function is still displaying “Loading…” and thus none of the elements are in the DOM that the tests are trying to access.

I didn’t at all think about the timing of the test. That was quite myopic of me. Thanks so much.
