Hey everyone,
I have an upcoming interview for a React Native developer role, and I want to make sure I’m well-prepared. I’ve been working with React Native for a while, but I’d love to get some insights from those who have recently gone through interviews or have experience hiring React Native developers.
What are some common React Native interview questions that I should expect? Specifically, I’d love to know:
- Technical Questions – What are some must-know concepts? Do interviewers typically focus more on React Native-specific topics (e.g., native modules, performance optimization) or general React/JavaScript knowledge?
- Practical Coding Challenges – Have you faced any live coding tasks or take-home assignments? If so, what kind of problems were you asked to solve?
- State Management & Performance – How deep do interviewers usually go into Redux, Context API, or other state management solutions? Are there any performance-related topics I should focus on?
- Native Integrations – Are questions about integrating native modules with Swift/Kotlin common? If so, what’s the best way to prepare for them?
- Behavioral & System Design Questions – Do React Native interviews typically include system design discussions, or are they mostly technical?

Any guidance, personal experiences, or resources would be greatly appreciated. If you’ve recently interviewed for a React Native position, I’d love to hear about the types of react native interview questions you encountered!
Thanks in advance for your help!
