Readable Materials to learn Web Dev?

I work a job with quite a lot of downtime and am looking for the best resource for learning web dev, mainly html, css and javascript. Nothing else as no where near that stage yet.

Needs to be readable and not videos.

Any ideas?

documentation? devdocs.io (for example)

some books? there are both freely available on the internet (Eloquent JavaScript and You Don’t Know JavaScript for example) or paper books which you can find about a greater variety of topics

the Mozilla Developer Network has some written tutorial too
