could someone link theirs so I can see where my syntax for is off?

Rather than delete your post/question, it’s more useful to leave the post as is and reply to your own post something like:
"Oh I was doing X but it wanted me to do Y problem is solved!
…this benefits other learners who might have a similar issue with the challenge/project and can see how you got passed it and learn something.
