Request for Review of Two Python Certification Exam Attempts

Dear freeCodeCamp Support Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I am writing to ask for your help regarding my Python Certification Exam.

I have taken the exam twice, but both attempts have been marked as “Retake Required” without displaying a score:

  • First attempt: September 1, 2026
  • Second attempt: September 9, 2026

I have been preparing seriously for this certification, and I am disappointed that neither attempt resulted in a score or certificate. I would really appreciate some clarification about what happened.

Could you please review both attempts and let me know:

  1. Why were my attempts marked as “Retake Required”?
  2. Was there a technical or moderation issue?
  3. Is there anything I should do differently before taking the exam again?
  4. Is it possible to have one of my attempts reviewed manually?

I would be grateful for any guidance you can provide. I want to make sure that my next attempt is completed successfully and that I understand any issues that may have affected my previous attempts.

Thank you for your time and support.

Welcome to the forum @fatimazahra.idfath.e,

During the manual moderation process, which is performed by real humans, the exam moderation team noticed that the exam software had identified some inconsistent behaviours. Based on this, we kindly ask that you submit another attempt at the exam.

We understand this can be frustrating, but this allows us to maintain our academic integrity. These rigorous systems ensure that the certifications we offer have the most credibility - which benefits you in the long run!

Please feel free to reach out to @Naomi (Naomi) if you have any questions about this decision. We apologise for the inconvenience, and appreciate your cooperation.

Happy coding
