Response Web Design Projects & Repl.it

Hello world! I’m a high school computer science instructor teaching a course on web design & development (HTML/CSS/JS). I’m taking my students through the freecodecamp content, as the learning management system our district uses has been experiencing issues all month. It’s preventing me from assigning content I had prepped over the past year.

My students are about to embark on their Responsive Web Design projects, but the projects indicate they should be built on codepen.io. The collaboration feature costs money, and collaboration is free on Repl.it. Is it possible to just submit a Repl instead of a codepen project?

Yup!

Do I have to use CodePen for the front end projects?

As long as your code is publicly viewable somewhere on the internet, and you have a live demo, you can use whatever tools you want.

You may have to help your students to get the test suite linked on Repl.it, but that shouldn’t be a big deal.
