Tell us what’s happening:

I feel like this function works, but the test has other plans for me. I don’t know why, but I’m getting a timeout error when I run the code. What am I doing wrong here?

Your code so far

function getAverage(scores) {
  let sum = 0;

  for (const score of scores) {
    sum += score;
  }

  return sum / scores.length;
}

function getGrade(score) {
  if (score === 100) {
    return "A++";
  } else if (score >= 90) {
    return "A";
  } else if (score >= 80) {
    return "B";
  } else if (score >= 70) {
    return "C";
  } else if (score >= 60) {
    return "D";
  } else {
    return "F";
  }
}

function hasPassingGrade(score) {
  return getGrade(score) !== "F";
}

Hi there and welcome to our community!

I am not sure why you are having issues as your code appears to work fine for me.
You may need to Reset the lesson and try resubmitting your code again.
A hard refresh of the page (CTRL+F5) might also help.
Alternatively, you could try using a different browser, if all else fails.

worked itself out with a computer restart!
