Self-closing link element

Trying to submit the self-closing link element and it is continuing to tell me “your link element should be a self-closing element”. I am confused because to me this looks like a self-closing link element and I have compare it with the link elements I’ve entered on sublime text. Am I missing something? please help, thank you!

Hint: There is some extra formatting required for link tags in XHTML that also seems to fix the issue here. It “shouldn’t” be required all of the time fot HTML, but it is good to know about for cases like this.

add / on the closing >

Include (/) at the end before closing the tag

Correct Syntax:

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="styles.css"/>
