I got really into cycling after moving to Korea about 13 years ago. There’s a huge cycling community there, and on the weekends many people would be out riding the bike paths that run alongside the rivers that stretch across the country.
I’ve owned a few bikes over the years, though these days I lean more towards utilitarian bikes I can throw racks and bags on for a weekend trip. I also have a soft spot for folding / travel bikes, and would love to try out a Bike Friday All-Packa or Brompton G-Line someday.
My main bike now is a Marin Muirwoods:
It’s mostly stock, though I’ve changed to a 34t chainring, shorter cranks, threw on thicker tires and swoopy alt bars, put on a Specialized Pizza Rack up front and strapped a basket to it. It’s my grocery getter, and with a rear rack and some panniers it’s fit for touring.
I’ve also got an older 6-speed Brompton C-Line:
This was my only bike for a few years, and is the one I used to ride the Four Rivers Cycling Path, which is about 630km from Incheon to Busan. It’s mostly stock, too, and the main changes I made were switching to a 40t chainring to cope with all the mountains and handlebars with more backsweep.
