Simple target shooting target

I have created a simple rail that holds 3 targets for target shooting. I was going to use a micro switch above the targets when they are hit to act as one point. I am going to use an aurdino , esp8266 and either a CoPA or mqtt protocol to display information on a website or android app. I am a learner coder and i and kind of going in blind. So can someone please tell me the easiest way to go about this?
