So I deployed my Game Of Life to Heroku

It now runs INSANELY fast compared to when I was playing with it on my local machine. Is this simply because the machine it’s hosted on is really powerful? Can someone explain to me why it would perform so much better when hosted in the cloud? I’m a bit confused

For anyone who is curious, here is the game (it’s mostly complete but not mobile friendly right now):

are you using a setInterval or setTimeout in your generations? if so Heroku should not run “faster” than your timeout. Nice job

To handle generations I used window.requestAnimationFrame()
