(SOLVED) Code snippets not showing as text - FCC Technical Doc Page

Well, I’m trying to go through all the challenges but I’m very, very new to all of this and can’t find where my mistake is.

I’m trying to put some code snippets to show in the article but they’re not showing up. Could someone kindly help me to find what I’m doing wrong?

My code is as below:

<p>Ut enim ad minima veniam, quis nostrum exercitationem ullam corporis suscipit laboriosam, nisi ut aliquid ex ea commodi consequatur?</p>

      <code>SimpleDateFormat format = new SimpleDateFormat( "dd.MM.yyyy" );
Date date = format.parse( myString );</code>
      <code>"java.util.Date utilDate = new java.util.Date();
java.sql.Date sqlDate = new java.sql.Date(utilDate.getTime());</code>

Thanks a lot!

can you post a link to your CodePen or source code?

:slight_smile:

*guessing you need a <code> block, maybe? https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/code

Hey man.

I did put the tag and it still doesn’t show. =/

I’ve put a snippet but, if you can’t see it, here it is:

<p>Ut enim ad minima veniam, quis nostrum exercitationem ullam corporis suscipit laboriosam, nisi ut aliquid ex ea commodi consequatur?</p>

      <code>SimpleDateFormat format = new SimpleDateFormat( "dd.MM.yyyy" );
Date date = format.parse( myString );</code>
      <code>"java.util.Date utilDate = new java.util.Date();
java.sql.Date sqlDate = new java.sql.Date(utilDate.getTime());</code>

Thanks!

can you send a screen cap of what you are seeing? this works for me (Windows/Chrome)

So…I refreshed the page and now It’s showing everything. IDK what happened but…it’s working now.

Thanks for your time, man.
