Something wrong with a Lesson

Applied Visual Design: Use the strong Tag to Make Text Bold

I did the lesson correctly, even checked the video, and it still reports that I’ve made an error. :frowning:

<p>Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were Ph.D. students at <strong>Stanford University.</strong></p>

Simple lesson. :frowning:

From the directions…

Wrap a strong tag around “Stanford University” inside the p tag.

Carefully compare your answer to the directions given. What is supposed to be wrapped by the <strong> tag? There is a tiny difference.

Really? Why? There’s no reason for the period (or any punctuation) to be bolded at the end of a sentence just because the last word is bold. I’ve been testing web apps for a long time and it’s not something I’d expect to see.

But for this lesson, it’s just asking for the words to be strong, not the punctuation and that should have passed the test.
