Sometimes I feel like not doing programming even though I am not doing lots of programming in that day, why?

Here’s the scenario: I wake up , run for 30 minutes. Drink lemon tea+biscuits. Go to study room. Start studying. I feel sleepy for an hour. Then I drink coffee with doughnuts. In the daytime, I solve a tic-tac-toe puzzle that my mind had been wandering since few days. Now, it’s office time over. And I can’t seem to focus on programming anymore. I feel like completely skipping exercises and doing a race where I skip every problems to the end of the chapter. lol.

Is this normal? What should I do in this case? I really can’t do programming at this state.

Are you saying that you feel too tired at the end of the day to focus on studying programming?

Do you have sugar in your coffee? Maybe cut the donuts you could be having a sugar crash.

Hello oslon!

Just a few suggestions that may help you with your programming progress.

  • When you first arrive home from your day at work, take time to refresh and relax before dinner/supper.

  • Set about 1 hr each evening for your programming studies.

  • Start at the beginning of the lessons, as this helps to build both understanding and confidence in your progress.

  • Do searches for the step, or lesson you are having difficulty with in your programming. (I often include freeCodeCamp in the search so I can find any forum responses to the question for that step.)

  • If something is too frustrating, the forum is a great place to seek help.

  • (just use the Help that appears after a few failed attempts to submit all your current code and your coding problems and error messages.)

  • Step away for a bit.

Remember, every step you make is progress is a step closer to your goal of learning to code.

Wishing you good progress on your coding journey. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes my coffee has sugars. HOnestly, there’s nothing to eat if I exclude sugars which will be cheap. It might be sugar crash.

Try a banana and matcha.

If what you usually do isn’t working for you, which I assume is why you started this thread, then maybe you need to change it up.

What do you want?

I’ll eat fruits from now on with eggs.
