Special characters on PuTTY

Hi,

I’m using putty to access some applications on linux from windows, i’ve a problem with special characters.

Like for example : “▒CHOU▒” which is échoué.

I’ve no idea on how to fix it, i’ve looked around, but none of the ways works.

you can replace them with ascii by using alt+(number) example alt+33=!

Found an easy solution, change the Remote character to “DEC-MCS”.
