Im confused on where I should put the alt= at ? is it replacing the link or does it need its own line before or after the link ?

The alt attribute goes inside the img element next to the src.
Here are the MDN docs, so you can see how the alt attribute is properly used

Or you can look at the sample they gave you

For example, <img src="cat.jpg" alt="A cat"> has an alt attribute with the text A cat

You see how the alt attribute is right next to the src attribute?
That is what you have to do in your challenge.
