Stlye Guide: Links - advice please

I’ve been asked to tidy up a page of links in the Guides section so that they are using the correct markup as per the style guide.

However the style guide states:

" Important Make sure that you are using HTTPS links. This is very important to avoid insecure content warnings."

Is this an error as using an https link to a site without https enabled would give the insecure content warning?

It is not an error. If a website doesn’t have https enabled, then the user should be alerted to that.

Thanks, I’ll change all links to https regardless then (or would it be better still to remove the ones that don’t work with https altogether?)

I would think it depends on the quality of the links? I’m not sure. I’m not a maintainer, so it’s not my judgement call to make.
