Stuck on Cat Photo App activity id tag

I run the test and it says that everything checks off except for the id tag for the footer. Its saying that i still need an id attribute. whats wrong with mine? I cant use footer because theres only allowed to be one footer tag.

It is because you put the footer id in p element.
The instruction is: id tag for the footer.
and id can only be used in one element, so I think you need to remove it from your p element.

hello thank you for your reply. I am still not quite sure what you are meaning. I understand the p element part. What should it be? I cant use footer because there is only allowed to be one footer tag. I put p because I didnt know what else to put there.

And compared to the example the id you gave doesnt make any sense to me. Can you explain it further? I tried different variations with this but nothing seems to be working.

EDIT: never mind i found that the place where I was putting the id was wrong
