Sync issues between two computers

Hello!

Yesterday I was working on the 4th lesson in Responsive Web Design, did about 35 challenges, was almost done, when I decided I had had enough for today, and signed out. Today, I logged back in from a different computer, and found my progress had not synced up, and had to continue from lesson 28 (out of 65 lessons!) Needless to say, that’s not ideal (although it would be good practice to do those lessons over again, if I ultimately had to.) I use Google to sign in.

So my question is, why did the two computers not sync my progress, cause I do use the same email address to sing in (via Google) and is there a way to: a) sync the two computers together so I can regain my lost progress, and b) prevent this from happening in the future?

Thank you kindly,

Can you confirm that you are using the exact same sign-in method? Or if you are using different sign in methods, can you confirm that they both use the exact same email address?

Yes sir. Exact same sign in method and exact same email address. I press, “use chrome without an account” when signing in though, because it’s a public computer, and I don’t want to have to sign out of chrome every time; I just have to delete the history. That’s for both computers.

Any other suggestions?

Could it be that it was spotty internet, and the browser didn’t manage to send the completion of the challenges to the server?

Perhaps…

When signing out there was a notice saying “your progress will not be saved” or something, and I took that to mean anything I did after signing out would not be saved. By the way I checked and my progress is also gone from the other computer.

Hello Teller,

Will doing this fix the issue, or prevent the issue from happening again? Well I don’t think the issue can be fixed at this point, I’ll just redo the lessons, I suppose. Thank you all for your assistance, and may you have a happy, healthy New Year. God bless.
